Who we are
Ecton Parish Council is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: your name and contact details, such as email address, postal address or phone number; any information you provide when contacting the Clerk, attending a meeting, or applying for a council or committee role; and, where relevant, information submitted through the contact form on this website.

We use personal data to: respond to enquiries and correspondence; carry out the Council’s statutory functions and administer council business, meetings and minutes; maintain the Council’s own accounts and records; and comply with our legal obligations, for example under the Local Government Act and Freedom of Information Act.

We process personal data where necessary for the performance of the Council’s public tasks and legal obligations, or with your consent where consent is the appropriate basis, for example for the contact form on this website.
Sharing your data
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share data with other public bodies, such as North Northamptonshire Council, where we are legally required to do so or where it is necessary to carry out our functions.
How long we keep your data
