Meetings
Ecton Parish Council will meet bi-monthly on the fourth Tuesday of odd number months (January, March, May, July, September and November). Meetings are held in the Village Hall, High Street, Ecton at 7.30pm.
Meetings are open to all residents to attend, everyone can attend, although they can only speak on agenda items if invited to do so by the Chairman.
If you have a question you would like the parish council to answer at a meeting. If you email the clerk at clerk@ectonparishcouncil.gov.uk at least a week before the meeting so that your question can be investigated for a full answer and added to the agenda if necessary.
Agendas and associated papers for each meeting are published on the Ecton Parish Council website at least three clear days before the meeting. The agenda is also displayed on the village noticeboard on the High Street.
Draft minutes are published on the Ecton Parish Council website no later than one month after the meeting. Please note that draft minutes remain subject to approval at the next Parish Council meeting.
Meeting dates for the new financial year are as follows:
2026 -19th May – Annual Meeting of the Parish and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council (Election of the Chair). This meeting is being held a week earlier than normal. Parish Council Meetings 2026 -28th July, 22nd September and 24th November.
2027 – 26th January, 23rd March and 18th May – Annual Meeting of the Parish and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council (Election of the Chair). The annual meetings are being held one week earlier than the usual fourth-Tuesday schedule.
The next council meeting being held, is the Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council. This meeting is being held on Tuesday 24th November 2026 starting at 7.30pm at Ecton Village Hall. The Meeting agenda will be uploaded 3 working days before the meeting. All are welcome to attend.
